| Tapestry Weaving Tuition Dyeing Inspiration - its fun to weave|
I have been tapestry weaving for many years and love the flexibility of this exciting medium. My work has been exhibited in the UK ; Europe; USA; China and Australia. I am inspired by colour, texture and landscape.
For weaving I prefer to use natural fibres wools, cottons, silks and linens. I dye & often spin to create my own yarns playing with colour and texture.
I specialise in using dyes from fungi which I find in Scotland. These dyes produce vivid colours such as reds, oranges, purples and shades in between.
I live in Balerno near Edinburgh, Scotland .
